I discovered 'PotatoBird' when I was doing some browsing on Trunkt. What a phenomenal site that is. And When I saw this work I just stopped dead in my tracks. As it is I dig type & I like work thats graphic & then to see this was to see it all coming together so beautifully. After some digging I figured Shelly who is a mixed media artist makes them."I incorporate vintage and repurposed materials into my art, breathing new life into these once loved, now unwanted and forgotten, elements. Of particular interest are humorous and thoughtful vintage photos showing people enjoying life. They're a wonderful reminder that we all need a little perspective once in a while!" she says in her blog.
Just because this is a little unlike this blog, let me post these Spring visuals. When the weather is beautiful & nature is in full bloom, there is nothing like having your tea in the gardens. Here are some rather 'pretty' snapshots of table decor in Spring.

This month I promised to do one post each day and I'm so happy that I've been able to do it. This is to say that I'm off for the weekend and I wont be around for 2 days :) And I do hope I will keep posting everyday after I come back. Sharing some quick eyecandy with you. Beautiful walls from Indian Palaces. The detailing in some of these are breathtaking. And i have always wondered at the sophisticated colour schemes the artists then used. Pure gorgeousness.
These pictures are almost a year old. Summer. Bright, bright sunshine, blue skies and unquenchable thirst. I am a Keralite and like it happens to so many people, I've never really seen Kerala the way my friends have. Kerala is home & when I go there I spend time with my folks & I'm back. That's it. But this trip was a bit different. A bunchof us from home headed to Munnar and we stayed at the Club Mahindra Munnar Resort. It was a beautiful piece of property in a beautiful place. While one part of the family took the car and headed out, my brother & me trekked down to the river through the tea estates. Will take you along a bit of our route through this picture trail.
The resort was well maintained and lush. I loved this view from the foyer. Open blue skies edged with the hills.
We set out on our trek. I see this signage which has worn so beautifully & lets the sun through. Its been a while since I've met my brother & its time we planned something- a quick getaway or a short trek. He is my cousin & lives in another city. But we are really close. My partner in crime & travel :)
