This is something I have been debating for the longest time & I have succumbed. After the world and its sister have asked me why I don't do coasters - where are the coasters, they would rightfully demand - here they are. I have been lazy and adapted my existing designs to the new size. Each coaster is 3.5x3.5 inches in dimension. I have quickly placed i them on the table and shot them in a row, as they were being varnished and finished. I will one day style my products and shoot them lovingly. I promise.
Speaking of adapts, here are some more: The Mahanagar box in a new square size - smaller than my usual size.
And since I like Vintage styled stuff, I thought why don't I bake a batch in this style.
Coming up is some more stuff that will be available at the ART BAZAAR, Sunday 24th July, 2011. 4pm to 1 am.

Leenata's art is a celebration of texture of colour of detail, of curves and curls. And it is amazing to see how her love and attention reaches and fills every part of the canvas, creating an experince which can be meditative for the viewer and for the non-meditators (yes I made it up :)), it can be a trip into the amazon with you finding your way through the maze of textures, the abundance of treasures. And for all this in each painting the message is clear and yet open to interpretation. Strong and graceful, symbolic and lyrical.
You have seen Leenata's gorgeous ex-office here and here. Its been amazing to be part of each others journey and to see the other preparing for this exhibition, in between all our other work & committments.
And if you are a fan of her work like I am, Art Bazaar is the place to be headed to, this Sunday, the 24th of July, 4pm to 1am. Yes, the Bazaar is open late into the night.
I am really happy to be part of ART BAZAAR, cause along with me are a bunch of my really close friends. I cannot tell you how happy I am feeling right now, because for the longest time we have admired each others work & encouraged each other and here we finally come together for a show. Isn't that neat?
So Mugdha & Amresh Mondkar will come from Dubai to launch their brand HAPPY ( the next post is dedicated to them).
Manta Ray comics is coming to Bombay, with their most powerful graphic novel called HUSH. Hush will be available at the Happy Stall.
Riddhi desai, who I shared the stall with for my very 1st exhibition (She made these pretty books remember?) is coming down from Chennai and is also launching her brand called Tinyfarm, which has a range of paper and textile products like cushion covers, mats, kitchen towels and so much more.
No Nasties, the funky tshirt brand with an eco heart will also be there. Had a chat with the inspiring Apurva Kothari half of the brand. Post coming up!
Leenata whose old office I showcased here on this blog is exhibiting her paintings. A post on her work is coming up as well - yes, yes, I know that's one hell of a lot of posts, but yes, coming up!!
And now you have the address and so many reasons for coming. I will be there with my products, looking forward to meeting you :) Come! :)

Happy to present 'HAPPY' a spanking new brand that is about to get launched at the ART BAZAAR this coming Sunday, in Bandra, Bombay. I couldn't have thought of a better brand name for the brand thats created by one of the 2 happiest people I have had the privilege to meet. Founded by Amresh & Mugdha Mondkar- design & husband-wife duo, Happy products include fun filled fridge magnets, button badges, tote bags, candles, mugs, dairies and posters.
But what makes their products really work for me is that each one of them unfailingly makes me smile when I see it. This brand walks its talk, happily :)

I love that their concepts and styling strike that delicate balance between homey-cosey and yet international
This set sits on my fridge and my young cousins got their kicks out of rearranging them all the time.
The good news is they also do customised gifting solutions for wedding, birthdays & corporate events.
