Kye

When someone loves what they do, it just shows. When you see most of Kalyani's work, you feel like hugging it. 'Kye' is a world filled with colour, heart and style & 'Kye' literally means 'hand' in south India. Their logo is just that. A heart made of many hands. I think its a very cute & bang-on logo.
And everything that Kye sells is obviously handmade handrawn & hand painted by the very talented Kalyani.
Look at these tweety singing birds

who finally fly off singing together! *hug* :)
You must read the post that accompanies this painting on Kye's blog
Meet Leaky
Peaky
And sneaky :)

I want these cushions!!

I love her exquisite hand painted on silk bagsKalyani was working in a design studio, "I just wanted to paint, and i went out bought some fabric, paint, a sketch book, and two months later i turned my paintings into bags, and that's how 'Kye' came into being." To think none of this would have happened hadn't she just decided followed her heart.
Hand painted on matka silk with applique and brocade handles. Base of blue matka silk.
Kalyani created this bag as a gift & this is what she says "Well i know someone is going to be surprised when she receives this canvas diaper bag. The bag itself is personalised with characters from life and special incidents."
This bag is called 'Grounded'
'Tree Head'
I *heart* this fishy & birdy
The Chidiya handbags. My most fav of them all- I'm such a sucker for the colours of fire!
You can buy these goodies by writing to her at: writetokye@gmail.com
And for people in Delhi, she retails @ People Tree, New Delhi, and Bombayites can find her goodies @ Loose ends, Bandra, Mumbai.
