What does one say when your face lights up in delight when you see small
detailed illustrations of your beloved Indian truck art on mini DIY
trucks, tiny vintage typewriters which work as a monthly calender,
quaint camera's which are actually photoframes. Welcome to the bonsai
world of Sky Goodies - where the wonders of all things Indian, old world
and precious is celebrated to its minutest detail. 'Sky Goodies' sense
of design, love for vintage and the way it celebrates Indian truck art
comes together in a beautiful rythmn and hits all the right notes. The
design duo and husband and wife team Misha and Amit Gudibanda create
one of a kind - DIY kits, where the design comes pre-printed, pre-cut,
pre-creased in A4 size sheets and all we need to do it is fold it and
stick it together with glue.
I was telling her how much I love the little logo they have - And Misha told me that it is a cartoon vintage sky bomber - dropping not bombs but little gifts. Little Happiness bombs - what a idea Sirjee :) :) That put their whole brand and what they do in perspective for me. No wonder I smile each time I see their product. "Our aim is to encourage people to use their hands and find joy in small things. Make it, use it, gift it, or own it; a Sky Goodies product should make you happy."
"The biggest inspiration for us is India, the country we live in, which
is full of wonderful chaos, color, traditional and pop art forms. Some
of our products are decorated in the style of Indian Pop Art and Street
Art. We had been documenting the vanishing art of hand-painted trucks in
India for the past many years, just for ourselves. A lot of the colors,
textures and patterns in our work, are inspired by this art form. " Misha & Amit Gudibanda
These are my personal favourites. I love the matchbox concept and the Indian truck art detailing on each book
