This was our Bedroom Suite at the
WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace in Jaisalmer. It really had this otherworldly feel about it. Like we had gone back a few centuries. The Jharokhas, the curtains and the intricately carved walls all contributed to recreating the romantic era of the Rajputs.

The door on the left led to the restroom

More carving right upto the ceiling.

The floor was a checkered black and white

The acqua and pink tiles on the wall was really pretty

Loved this little chair in the restroom

And this is the balcony that our bedroom opened out into. It was truly a beautiful and quiet place to come back to after a day full of trudging your way through the busy winding streets of Jaisalmer.

OH!!! I have visit this place... !!! NOW.... :)
absolutly amazing! I love this kind of court yard houses - riads, but this one is outstanding.
Wow Vineeta! Nothing to match the sheer opulence and grandeur of good Indian hospitality. I would have serious trouble leaving my suite once in there, LOL! Mesmerizing!
Hi!
I love your graphics. Especially, the one for 'All things Indian' - the peacock feather. I was wondering if you can give simple directions as to how you achieved that. Is it both, digital and hand drawing?
Thanks.
MS,
I created it digitally on photoshop. its pretty simple once you learn photoshop :)
