On the roads of Mumbai/Bombay.

Of late I have been using my camera quite a bit and it goes with me where I go, so here's a taste of Bombay roads, the colour, the grime and a lot of how fellow vehicles look in traffic. Close ups and crops of Trucks, the local BEST buses and even the inside of an auto rickshaw. As usual I am drawn to pattern and colour thats what you will see in this post. Not the whole picture ~ but a colourful part of it. Enjaay!

Truck Graphics in super bright colours are an integral part of Indian Roads. We just love colour and will splash it on all the things we love.

The inside of an auto rickshaw. Clearly some Holi revellers have left their mark.
By the time I craned my neck out of the speeding cab & got the focus right on my DSLR, this would have whizzed by. Here's where a good old point and shoot comes handy.

Fabulous!I love the explosion of colours.
But this is getting eerily funny... I've been going on a 'streets of Mumbai' clicking spree too (much to the embarassment of my teenaged son!). And though my pics are not a fraction as good as yours, guess what? I 'got' a truck which could've been brother to that one in the third photo (except mine had designs scrawling all over the metal over the wheel too , so it was possibly more in touch with its feminine side ;D ).
So many coincidences, could it be the mallu genes I wonder?

Isn't it lovely to find design just by chance or in simple things around u where u live or travel? Love the Holi auto seat.

Just saw a post in another blog about the decor in a restaurant and an ice cream shop in Greece. Thought I'll share it on here because you might like it too.

Gorgeous Vineeta!!! I fear that the UK traffic will never offer such visual delights no matter how creatively one looks at it.

I've also so enjoyed catching up on your other recent posts - I always leave your space feeling inspired and filled up with the vibrancy of it all - thank you! :)
